You don’t need to have everything figured out. These are the questions people ask before they’re ready to reach out—and if you’re wondering them, you’re in the right place.
Yes—and it’s the most common place to start.
Most people who book a boudoir session have never done anything like this before. Feeling nervous, unsure, or even intimidated is completely normal. This experience is designed for beginners, not models.
You don’t need confidence to begin. Confidence often comes later.
You don’t need to know how to pose—that’s my job.
I guide you into poses that feel natural, flattering, and comfortable for your body. I demonstrate, adjust, and explain as we go, so you’re never left guessing what to do with your hands or posture. Nothing is rushed, and nothing feels forced.
That fear is valid—and very common.
Your boudoir session is guided entirely by your comfort level. You decide what you wear, how much you show, and when we pause or adjust. The studio is private, calm, and intentionally designed to feel safe and grounded.
Absolutely.
Boudoir photography is for all bodies and all ages. People come in celebrating milestones, healing chapters, anniversaries, or simply wanting to see themselves differently. There is no ideal body or age required to be here.
Your comfort always comes first.
Most sessions include myself and a professional hair and makeup artist. On many shoots, my husband also joins me to assist with lighting and photograph alongside me. Working together allows us to approach your session from two perspectives, which often means a wider variety of images and more moments captured in less time.
That said, his presence is always optional.
If you’d prefer a more private setting, it would be just me and your makeup artist in the studio. We’ll talk through this ahead of time so you feel fully comfortable and supported before the day arrives.
No.
Lingerie is optional. Some people choose lingerie, others prefer bodysuits, oversized sweaters, button-down shirts, or nothing at all. Boudoir is about how you feel in what you’re wearing.
Yes.
Professional hair and makeup is included with your session. It’s designed to look polished and natural—not heavy or overdone—and helps set a calm tone for the day.
Most boudoir sessions last about three to four hours total.
This includes approximately one hour for professional hair and makeup, followed by two to three hours of photography. This pace allows time to settle in, change outfits, and move through the session without feeling rushed.
Everything is intentionally unhurried so the experience feels calm, supportive, and enjoyable from start to finish.
Not at all.
While bridal boudoir is popular, many people book sessions for personal milestones, confidence rebuilding, anniversaries, or simply for themselves. This experience is about you first.
No—not without your permission.
Your images are private. They will never be shared publicly unless you explicitly choose to allow it. Privacy is built into the experience.
Editing is subtle and intentional.
I focus on clean skin, natural tones, and overall polish while preserving what makes you look like you. I don’t reshape bodies or erase real features.
There’s no right answer.
Some clients choose albums, others keep their images private or gift them to a partner. We’ll talk through options together without pressure.
Not sure if this is the right time? That’s okay. Most women reach out with nerves—and leave with something they didn’t expect: confidence, clarity, and portraits they love.
